Chapter 494 Demon King VS Chaos Queen

'Sparcles, I will need three hundred and sixty seconds to complete the branding process for all six,' Sophia said, her eyes fixed on the system screen displaying a sixty-second countdown.

"I am not your enemy. Allow me to collect my comrades, and I will leave without lifting a finger against any of you," Sophia said, her gaze meeting the human standing in the distance with a calm expression.

The man stood over two meters tall, resembling a noble knight from fairy tales, with eyes that shone like two white stars and silver hair cascading to his shoulder blades.

He was clad in a suit of silver armor, the chest plate emblazoned with a feathery wing motif and shoulder pads reminiscent of roaring lions.

A white cape hung gracefully from his shoulders, and in his hands, he held two silver longswords, while an aura of radiant light radiated from him, pushing back the encroaching darkness several feet away.

"No, I can deal with this thing," The man said aloud before promptly crushing the communication device.

"My fellow servants, it's time for you to fulfill your duty," The man said, a smile spreading across his face as he closed his eyes.

Sophia watched as the white aura of purity around the man began to flicker like a candle flame in the wind, while at the same time, all those adorned in silver armor, bearing the same insignia of silver wings, began to shake as if undergoing an intense seizure.

Their aura began to grow significantly in mere moments, causing them to shine like burning stars on the chaotic battlefield.

"My Queen, we need to leave," Sparkles said, sensing the sudden shift, and even though his material senses detected no threat, his sharpened instincts screamed at the unknown danger emanating from the armored knight.

"But—"

"WE NEED TO LEAVE NOW," Sparkles roared in his deep, archaic voice, making Sophia physically and mentally shake at the sudden outrage.

Without question asked, she willed them to enter the Chaos Plain, a realm parallel to real space but not freely accessible to even the mightiest of beings.

'Sparkles, it's not working,' Sophia said, her innocent mind not grasping the meaning of this failure.

Sparkles wasted no time once he heard his name as even before the thought directed at him fully registered, he was already on the move, his figure vanishing and reappearing many kilometers away in an instant.

To his horror, he was forced to halt as an invisible barrier blocked his path, bringing him to an abrupt stop, but without wasting a moment, he swung his claw with all his might.

As the claw met the invisible wall, a massive impact resounded over tens of kilometers, triggering a major earthquake, yet the attack left no mark on the barrier.

'Sparkles, are we trapped?' Sophia asked, slowly understanding that they were in trouble.

'My Queen, it was a pleasure serving you,' Sparkles said, and without a moment of delay, he began to concentrate his spiritual energy, aiming to blow up his very soul, to give his queen the chance to escape before it was too late.

"Clap, clap, clap."

"I admire your dedication, but don't bother sacrificing your life, because your reaction to kill your Queen so she could escape tells me she is an Immortal adventurer, meaning your death means nothing when I could easily revive her the very next moment," The familiar voice belonging to the knight sounded, forcing Sparkles to stop his suicide attempt.

'What? Sparkles, you were planning to kill yourself?' Sophia screamed with evident panic in her thoughts, but Sparkles stayed silent as the feeling of horror settled in.

Sophia/Sparkles turned around and looked at the knight in shining armor, who no longer radiated pure aura but rather now reeked a malevolent aura, copious amounts of gray and black energy leaking from his figure, while his previously pure eyes were now pupilless, nothing but deep wells of darkness.

"I have used a barrier that allows entry but prevents anyone from leaving, and it will stay active for six more hours, so we have plenty of time before you can gain access to the Chaos Plain," The man explained calmly.

"I do not intend to harm you. I simply wish to have a peaceful conversation," The man said, a smile stretching across his face that made him look terrifying because of his now-altered appearance.

'Sparcles, what is happening? Why are the good guys attacking their own?' Sophia said, not paying any attention to the man before her, her gaze glued to the carnage taking place in the distance.

The silver armored guards, numbering more than a hundred, were going on a rampage, attacking their comrades and enemies alike, their once noble appearance now tainted with the malevolent dark aura emanating from their bodies.

"Don't pay attention to those savages. They will be dead in a few minutes," The man said, sensing he was being ignored.

"To my understanding, you are a newly born Chaos Queen, and while I don't know much about you, I know enough to say with certainty that we can immensely help each other,"

"I will begin by introducing myself. I am known as Ahrimon, the Demon King," Ahrimon said before going silent for a moment and then continuing.

"We are both similar in nature, and we can be great benefactors to each other."

"Your kind feeds on chaos, while I am prepared to plunge the world into the greatest war it has ever seen, which would only end with the near annihilation of the entirety of the world's population."

"To my understanding, you are very young and barely have any real strength, and with your current abilities, it would not be long before the world comes for you to end you while you are at your weakest,"

"But I am willing to support you, give you protection from those aiming to harm you, and unlimited resources for you to grow. I can also help you acquire back much of your kind imprisoned all over the world,"

"I can give you continents plunged into constant war and death, providing a safe haven for your kind to freely feed on to grow stronger,"

"All I ask of you in return is to use your ability to bend the laws and grant me protection from the worldly law, so I could once again freely walk this world," Ahrimon said, his words carrying no lies, but the same could not be said for deception.

'Sparcles, he is the big evil boss,'

'I am going to use the chaos wish to change his memories, and make him a good person,' Sophia said, panic and fear evident in her thoughts.

"I would take the law oath to fulfill our agreed deal, so make up your mind quickly because I would be really happy to hear a yes when we meet in person."

"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some cleanup work before the guests arrive," Ahrimon remarked before turning around.

Instantly, the heads of the individuals in the distance began to pop like watermelons, gore, and viscera painting the surroundings.

No one was spared as enemies and allies alike had their heads crushed by an unseen hand. Even the mighty Elemental Rulers, could be seen clutching their heads with both hands as bursts of elemental force surged around them, yet it seemed as if the very space was caveing in on them and there was nothing they could do about it.

'Sparcles, it did not work. The wish was declined without even telling me what would be the equal price,' Sophia remarked slowly as if she couldn't believe it herself.

"CRRRRRIIAAAAAAAA!"

An orb of swirling darkness manifested between the horns of Sophia before the noise of pure chaos force tearing through space roared through the surroundings, as a beam resembling a cone-shape engulfed everything in its path.

The beam of force erased a section of the ruined city, creating a crater tens of meters deep, and only stopped once it met the other side of the barrier.

'My Queen, this person is too strong, and even if I fought him at my peak, I doubt I would have a chance at victory, and this is when he is just possessing a vessel,' Sparkles said, his tone resigned even before the force had cleared as if he already knew the results.

"Every important individual is a villain in someone else's story,"

"So while you might think that I am evil and what I am doing is unacceptable, you are no different from me,"

"Your fate is as cruel as mine, and we both are destined to be destroyers of life. One day you will understand and accept it," Ahrimon said, his voice echoing through the dissipating chaos energy.
